Privacy policy

Short version: no user accounts. Your preferences (active cards, location, favourites) are stored in your browser only. No third-party tracking cookies. No data sold.

1. What we collect

• City-level approximate location (via Cloudflare Pages headers) to suggest nearby stations. Never stored server-side.
• Anonymous navigation events (page views, decision-card clicks, partner clicks) — no cookies, no fingerprint, random per-tab session ID. Helps us improve the product.
• Price alerts: if you subscribe, your email or Telegram ID is stored in our Cloudflare D1 database until you unsubscribe.
• Business-listing correction or claim requests: the business, your contact details, message, consent, and a pseudonymous anti-abuse technical identifier are stored to verify and process the request.

2. What stays in your browser

• Driving profile (vehicle, consumption, value of time) — localStorage gasapp.prefs.v1
• Saved location — gasapp.lastpos.v1
• Favourite stations — gasapp.favs.v1
• Language choice — gasapp.lang

3. Affiliate links

Amazon shop links may currently earn us a commission and use rel="sponsored nofollow". Credit-card, insurance, tire, and service links are currently editorial and unpaid. Any future paid link will visibly carry an "Affiliate link" badge. We do not send your personal data with an outbound click.

4. Your rights (Loi 25 — Quebec)

You have rights of access, correction and deletion for personal data we hold about you, including alert subscriptions and business-listing requests. Email [email protected] — 30-day reply window.

5. Retention

Anonymous events are kept for up to 24 months. Alert subscriptions remain until you unsubscribe. Business-listing requests and contact details are deleted no later than 12 months after closure unless law requires otherwise.
